Christ: Flight into Egypt -- Virgin Mary, decorated nimbus and veil, is seated sideways on ass, suckling Christ Child, decorated nimbus, nude except for diaphonous drape. Joseph the Carpenter, decorated nimbus, stands at head of ass, holding reins.
Scene in landscape with buildings in distance.
Head of man, nimbed, in initial D.
Margins decorated with gold and border of floreate ornament and grape vine growing from log, possibly reflecting Fogliani heraldry. In lower margin, inscription of RTA ET CRA, flanking foliate medallion enclosing escutcheon of Foliagni arms (or a stem vert springing from a log) quartered with unknown heraldry (vairy undy).
