1) Apostles: Scene, praying -- In initial D decorated with geometric ornament and patterned spandrels, all twelve nimbed Apostles, including tonsured Peter, and bald, bearded Paul with joined hands raised, kneeling in prayer.
2) Margins - Rectilinear bars decorated with interlace and foliage, enclosing four heraldic shields, including Hangest (one) and Count of Grandpr³b (one), and head of veiled woman, and inhabited by bird, hybrid man wearing winged head gear, and prostrate man, both supporting heraldic lozenge within lobed quatrefoil, and two hybrid men as musicians, one hooded, playing harp, and the other with fantastic psaltery.
