Ignatius of Antioch: Martyrdom -- Outside prison walls, Trajan, crowned, holding scepter in right hand, stands in front of two men, including one holding staff. Trajan points to Ignatius of Antioch, wearing bishop's vestments and miter, holding crozier, appearing within window of prison. He is attacked by two lions.
Dog, standing on hind legs, is in courtyard beside prison. A second dog sits within tiled room or hallway beyond courtyard. On left wall is plaque with inscriptions.
