Anna, nimbed and veiled with wimple, is seated flanked by curtains below canopy. Her left hand is on her breast, and her right hand rests on open book on her lap. Christ Child, rays as nimbus, wearing diaphanous garment, extends both hands to the book. He is held by Virgin Mary, rays as nimbus, seated on ground. Book with latches is open on pillow before her.

Margins decorated with border of white vine scroll with flowers and plants, including strawberry.
