Christ: bearing Cross -- Christ, rayed cross as nimbus, wearing crown of thorns, bears cross with aid of two men, possibly including Simon of Cyrene. Group of soldiers is clustered around them. To left, Virgin Mary and Evangelist John with others, including Holy Women, follow. To right, horsemen look on.
In background, soldiers lead prisoner, possibly Christ or Dysmas or Gestas, up hill on which is scene of Crucifixion with three crosses, surrounded by crowd.
At bottom of miniature, below text block, four soldiers cast lots for Christ's garments.
