Psalm 039 (Vulg., 038):
1) Christ: Flight into Egypt -- Virgin Mary, decorated nimbus, veiled, holds Christ child, in swaddling clothes, and rides bridled ass, led by Joseph the Carpenter, holding bridle and draped staff.
2) Shepherds: Annunciation -- Two shepherds, one with bagpipe, one with dog, stand in landscape setting among three sheep.
Scenes against gold backgrounds within decorated initial D within architectural setting with sun and moon.
3) Female saint, decorated nimbus, stands with palm branch in left hand.
4) Angel, nimbed, right hand holding scroll, faces the shepherds.
Figures against gold backgrounds in architectural setting of tower beside initial D. They are supported by hybrid, man with body of wingless dragon and foliate tail.
In lower margin (bas-de-page), a dog, two rabbits, and a cock.
