Male saint, possibly Jesus, son of Sirach, nimbed, seated on bench, raises right hand in blessing and holds scroll with left hand. Man stands facing him, both hands extended, left hand touching the scroll.
Scene within initial O decorated with foliate ornament.
Margin:
Gold balls, and vine decorated with balls and foliate ornament inhabited by half figure of man, possibly soldier wearing mail under cloak and holding small round shield (buckler) and terminating in foliate medallion enclosing bird.
Beginning of Ecclesiasticus.
