At far right, stands Joseph the Carpenter, wearing hat, with purse tied to belt. From chapter 2 of Matthew. Christ: Circumcision -- At right, Virgin Mary, veiled with wimple, supporting on her lap nude Christ Child, both nimbed, He extends His left hand toward knife held in right hand of Mohel, wearing hat, partly kneeling, accompanied by group of seven. including one veiled woman, some gesturing of with joined hands raised (four with only heads visible).
