Miniature:
Pietro de Crescenzi: Livre des Prouffis Champestres et Ruraux, Book IV -- Standing beside another man, Pietro de Crescenzi indicates, with left hand, laborer pruning vines with sickle. Another laborer picks grapes from vines and places them in basket. To right, man pours wine in pitcher into bowl. A second man, supporting himself with staff, drinks from bowl. Within building decorated with flag displaying arms of Burgundy, man draws wine from barrel into pitcher.
Margins:
Foliate border frames miniature and text. Hybrid man, shooting bow and arrow, inhabits lower border.
