Upper half: Noah: offering Sacrifice -- At left, faces in window and door of ark; three men, gesturing, standing behind Noah, standing before altar (?), raising lamb with both hands and looking up toward head of God emerging from cloud. From chapter 8 of Genesis. Noah: Drunkenness -- Noah, raising right hand to face, wearing purse at waist, semi-reclining below grape vine, Japheth, inscribed IAPHET, bending over him, extending right hand to garment, covering own face with left hand. Behind them, Ham, inscribed CHAM, indicating Noah with right hand, and looking toward and grasping with left hand, right arm of Shem, inscribed SEM. From chapter 9 of Genesis. Lower half: Tower of Babel: Building -- At left, three men, one grasping raised arm of small boy, one gesturing, all standing next to man, wearing hat, gesturing with both hands, seated on bench. From chapter 11 of Genesis. Tower of Babel: Building -- At right, king, crowned, holding scepter with right hand, raising left hand, looking toward man raising right hand, holding hammer over left shoulder, knife at waist, standing on tower. Behind him, treadwheel next to hoist with rope attached to pincers grasping dressed stone, rope held by raised hands of man on ground. Another man, seated on three-legged stool, extending hammer with both hands to stone before him. Man, carrying object on left shoulder, entering portal of tower. In background, man wearing hat, digging (?) with hoe or mattock. From chapter 11 of Genesis.
