Lucy of Syracuse: Martyrdom -- First executioner transfixes neck of Lucy of Syracuse, nimbed, kneeling. Second executioner grasps her crossed hands. They are flanked by two women, one holding unidentified object in her hand, and Paschasius of Syracuse, crowned, holding scepter in right hand and raising left hand, behind whom is another man.
Scene occurs within courtyard surrounded by buildings. Tree with trimmed branches, bundles of branches, and brazier with fire are in courtyard.
Above brazier, on checkered signboard of building is the signature A. ESCIES. Urn filled with plants is attached to wall of building beside door.
Statue of Virgin Mary, nimbed, and Christ Child, rayed cross nimbus, is within niche on far wall of courtyard.
