Christ: before Pilate and Pilate: washing Hands -- Pilate, wearing hat, seated on throne, extends both hands over basin held in left hand of servant standing next to the throne, raising pitcher with right hand, with cloth hanging over left shoulder. Christ, crossed nimbus, hands bound, wearing robe, feet bare, stands before Pilate. Man, wearing sword at waist, standing behind Christ, places right hand on His left shoulder; of two other men behind Christ, one wearing hat is very small, the other wears helmet. Another man stands next to the throne.
Margins decorated with border of foliate ornament and rinceaux.
