Within initial D, Christ Child, nimbed, right arm raised, is seated on lap of Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled; both look to the left. Hand grasps nimbus of Christ Child, either hand of Mary of painted over figure at left. Joseph the Carpenter, nimbed, is seated below, looking up at them.
