Christ: bearing Cross -- Christ, cross-nimbed, blood running down his legs, carries tau-cross, with three holes for nails, on right shoulder, and leaves trail of bloody footprints. At left are: youthful male figure, beardless; Holy Woman, nimbed, touching arm of cross with right hand; Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled, touching arm of cross with draped hands; and man wearing pointed hat, touching arm of cross with both hands. At right is man wearing hat touching left arm of Christ with both hands, and another man holding ends of rope looped around Christ and cross. All are flanked by soldiers wearing helmets, 11 carrying spear, one carrying axe.
Margins decorated with border of foliate ornament.
