Virgin Mary: Annunciation -- Archangel Gabriel, partly kneeling, holds small scepter in left hand and raises right forefinger toward Virgin Mary, hands raised, behind draped prie-dieu beneath canopy, looking down toward open book with pseudo-inscriptions. Dove of Holy Ghost descends in rays issuing from arc of heaven at upper left.
Scene in room with decorated panels, window and tiled floor.
Miniature within architectural frame, enclosing two standing figures of Adam and Eve in architectural niches.
Bottom of frame is inscribed with incipit of D(OMI)NE LABIA MEA AP(ER)IES ET OS ME(UM) ANNUN(TIABIT) from Psalm 051:15 (Vulg., 050:17), beginning the Hours of the Virgin.
