Shepherds: Annunciation -- One of three shepherds is seated on ground holding bagpipe under right arm, indicating upward with left hand; the other two, wearing hats, stand, raising right hands, one holding staff with left hand. All three look up toward two angels holding scroll inscribed GLORIA IN EXCELSIS DEO ET IN [...] HOMINIBUS (Luke 2:14, variant). Dog wearing collar is in foreground with two sheep; other sheep are at right and in background.
Scene in landscape with trees, one surrounded by wattle fence; body of water in which are ship and bird (?); crenellated wall pierced by towers in distance.
Margins decorated with border of floreate ornament including dianthus and rose, and inhabited by dog or fox biting head of sheep in right margin.
