Bernard of Clairvaux: Scene, Victory over the Devil -- Bernard of Clairvaux, nimbed, wearing hood and habit, holds book in left hand and in right hand, crozier and chain. Chain is attached to collar around neck of devil, holding rod in right hand, with second face in groin.
Miniature within arched frame supported by columns and architectural elements.
Margins decorated with floreate and foliate ornament, including large branches, and inhabited by snail and hybrid animals.
