Month, Occupation: March -- Man, wearing elaborate headgear, is flanked by two men, each holding hoe or mattock.
Scene in landscape setting filled with short, bare trees, all within decorated medallion in lower margin (bas-de-page).
In upper margin, man and woman, possibly dancing, join hands. Woman holds distaff in left hand.
In right margin, man, riding bridled and saddled horse, wears shield on back and carries lance in left hand. (similar reversed image on verso).
All figures set within foliate border with flowers and acanthus leaves, surrounding calendar.
