Instruments of Passion (Arma Christi) -- Escutcheon surmounted by draped helm supported by two angels and decorated with instruments of the passion. On helm are: scourge; knotted rope or headgear hanging on spear; column surmounted by cock; bucket hanging on rod on which is sponge; withes; dice. In center of escutcheon is cross, with blank titulus, set in sarcophagus on side of which is draped burial cloth. At crossing of cross is heart, and in interstices, above are two hands, and below are two feet showing wounds; all are encircled by crown of thorns. In each of four sections created by cross is head, including that of Pilate, Caiphas , or Herod Antipas (?), either two crowned or one wearing miter or hat with gold band; Judas with sack hanging around neck, and man, mouth open.
Margins decorated with rectilinear bars with vines.
