Scene, Secular: Courting -- Man, wearing plumed hat, sits on turf bench with woman, wearing headdress. Behind them is leaf-covered arbor, behind which stands man, wearing hat. Before the couple is draped table with plate and loaf. Woman, veiled, carries a plate toward the table. Man, wearing plumed hat, stands nearby. Pitcher on ground. In background is brick wall with arched opening, beyond which are trees and building.
