Christ: bearing Cross -- In initial D, Christ, cross-nimbed, carries tau cross over left shoulder, holding cross-arm with both hands. Behind Him are Simon of Cyrene, holding upright of cross with both hands; Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled with joined hands; Holy Woman, nimbed, with joined hands; and man wearing hat. Beside Him, is man, wearing hat, holding hammer. Soldier wearing helmet, with sheathed saber at his waist, extending left hand to hold rope around His waist, stands facing Christ. Soldiers, wearing helmets, some carrying spears are in background.
Initial on gold background and decorated with ornament of rinceaux.
