Livres des Merveilles du Monde: Scene, Thrace -- To left, man, wearing pointed hat and sheath tied to belt, with right hand raises scimitar over head of man, partly kneeling, gesturing, bleeding from wounds in head beside another man, wearing twisted headgear and sheath tied to belt, raising scimitar over head of kneeling man, also gesturing. In center background, woman and man, wearing hat, both with joined hands raised accompany veiled woman, holding swaddled infant with both hands, all partly visible behind rock. To right, among three men, wearing pointed hats, some with knotted headgear, all hold hands with each other, and walk before corpse as mummy reclining on cliff. Initial T of Tracie decorated with foliate ornament. Miniature for Livre de Merveilles du Monde for Thrace.
