Thomasin von Zerclaere: Text, Der Wälsche Gast, Book 09.04 -- Crowned king, with scroll inscribed DER UBERMUDIGE MAN, stands with hands in pockets of his robe. Before him is man, wearing hood, seated on bench, with scroll inscribed WIE OISTERUG DER IST (sic), gesturing to the king with right hand. To right of bench are three personifications. Male personification of Anger, with scrolls inscribed DER ZORN and ICH ERMANEN DICH MYN, holding raised sword; personification Oppression, with scrolls inscribed DIE DRUCKE and ICH BIN AUCH HIE MIT DIR, holding raised club; and personification of Ignorance, with scrolls inscribed DIE UNWISCHE and KOM HER BALDE ZU MIR, holding spear in raised right hand which she points at the king.
