Apostle, Matthias: Martyrdom -- Two men (false witnesses) throw stones held in folds of garments at Apostle Matthias, nimbed, kneeling, raising joined hands to breast. Executioner strikes his head with axe. Two other men with pointed hats look on, one of whom points to Matthias with right hand.
