Virgin Mary: Assumption -- Within upper portion of decorated initial F, bust of Virgin Mary, scalloped nimbus, is borne to heaven on cloth held by two angels emerging from clouds.
Virgin Mary: Death -- Below, Virgin Mary, veiled, eyes closed, reclines on bed beside five apostles (only nimbus of fifth apostle visible), including Apostle Peter, tonsured, placing head in his left hand. Other apostles gesture. All figures have scalloped nimbi.
