Gregory the Great: celebrating Mass -- Within room decorated with patterned hangings, figure of Christ, cross-nimbed, showing wounds appears on altar on which are inscribed and rubricated book, chalice and candle. Standing before altar, Gregory the Great, nimbed, wearing triple-crowned tiara, raises both hands. Attendant, kneeling on one knee, gathers his vestments in left hand and holds candle in right hand. Behind him are two cardinals, both raising joined hands.
