Zone 1:
1) David: slinging at Goliath -- David, with pedum in left hand, swings sling in right hand. Stone strikes forehead of Goliath, in mail, wearing broad helmet, removing sword from scabbard.
2) David: beheading Goliath -- To right, David kneels on fallen body of Goliath, severing head with sword. Broad helmet lies on ground in front of five mounted Philistines, in mail, armed with lances and shield, fleeing to right. Tree. Illustration of I Samuel 17:48-51.
Zone 2:
1) David: bringing Head of Goliath to Saul -- Group of Israelites stands behind Abner with hands on shoulders of David kneeling and holding head of Goliath in left hand. With right hand, he grasps rod extended by Saul, crowned, seated on animal faldstool with footstool in front of four attendants, one holding staff. Illustration of I Samuel 17:57.
2) David and Jonathan: Robe given to David -- To right, Jonathan pulls garment off over head, and David grasps its sleeves. Illustration of I Samuel 18:4.
