Christ: Entombment -- In initial C, Christ, cross-nimbed, wearing short loincloth, is recumbent on cloth atop sarcophagus, His head supported by Evangelist John, nimbed. Joseph of Arimethea, wearing hat, possibly touches His left arm. Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled, with her left hand, holds and kisses His left hand. Nicodemus touches His right leg, holding jar with left hand. Behind them are Holy Woman, nimbed and veiled, with joined hands, and other nimbed figures, only nimbi visible.
Initial on gold background and decorated with ornament of rinceaux.
