Jerome, nimbed, wearing cardinal's hat, is seated on chair at desk on which is open book in which he writes with right hand. Next to book are ink pot and stylus case.
Initial on gold background and decorated with ornament of rinceaux. Head, wearing hat, drawn on upright of initial D at top of left column.
