Psalm 055 (Vulg., 054) -- Initial E of Exaudi enclosing serpent-like hybrid animal; the initial’s ascender partly formed by hooded hybrid man with dragon-like body extending across left and upper margins terminating in head of hybrid animal, long-eared, beak opened; the descender partly formed by bust of soldier, wearing mail and helmet, with right hand raised and with left hand grasping long neck of hybrid bird, all terminating in head of veiled woman.
