Two scenes in continuous narrative:
1) Divina Commedia, Purgatorio: Scene, Angels and Serpent -- Serpent is driven away by two angels, nimbed, armed with swords.
2) Divina Commedia, Purgatorio: Scene, Atonement of preoccupied Rulers -- Two angels, nimbed, holding raised swords, stand guard over group of nude souls of preoccupied rulers, seated on ground. Beside them are Dante, wearing hat, greeting nude soul of Ugolino de Visconti da Pisa or Corrado Malaspina; and Virgil, standing with nude soul of Sordello.
