Initial H enclosing half-figure of man, head bowed, looking at open book held with both hands (reading). Center margin decorated with foliate ornament and gold balls. Pen flourished initials. Text is first lesson of first nocturn for Matins on Saturday following second Sunday of Epiphany Season.
