Christ: Entombment -- Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea, each grasping ends of shroud, lower Christ, cross-nimbed with fleur-de-lis points, bleeding, lying on shroud with arms crossed, into sarcophagus. Three Holy Women, two with joined hands raised, Virgin Mary, veiled, arms crossed on breast, and Mary Magdalen, holding ointment jar, stand beside sarcophagus. In background is landscape with buildings.
Text and miniature framed by foliate border decorated with flowers, strawberries, and grape vine and inhabited by bird and nude man chasing butterfly. In lower border, two men hunt deer pursued by two dogs.
