Denis of Paris: carrying Head-- Denis, bleeding from neck, wearing chasuable decorated with fleurs de lis, stands beneath canopy, cradling his head, nimbed, eyes shut, wearing miter. He is flanked by two nimbed, tonsured, clerics, wearing deacon's vestments, probably Rusticus of Paris and Eleutherius of Paris.
Margins decorated with border of vine scroll and floreate ornament, including thistle, some in gold diamonds.
