Upper half: Christ: Betrayal and Arrest -- At left, Christ, cross-nimbed, wearing long robe, with left hand holding book, is partly embraced by Judas, and grasped from behind by at least two of six helmeted soldiers, at least five holding spears and one holding halberd, one raising shield. In foreground, Apostle Peter, nimbed, with right hand on hilt of sword and with left hand on scabbard, and possibly Malchus, falling to ground, with right hand holding sword and with left hand holding shield (Apostle, Peter: cutting off Ear of Malchus?). Christ: before Pilate -- At right, Christ, cross-nimbed, wearing long robe, with wrists bound, is led by two of four helmeted soldiers, at least two holding spears and one holding halberd, before Pilate, inscribed PILATUS, crowned, with right hand raised and with left hand holding scepter, seated on throne of the canopy type. Lower half: Christ: before Annas -- At left, Christ, cross-nimbed, wearing long robe, with wrists bound, is led by two of five helmeted soldiers, at least three holding spears, before Annas, inscribed ANNAS, wearing pointed hat, with both hands to garment, possibly rending it, and seated on throne of the canopy type. Christ: before Herod Antipas -- At right, Christ, cross-nimbed, wearing long robe, with wrists bound, is led by two of five helmeted soldiers, at least three holding spears and one holding halberd, before Herod Antipas, inscribed ERODOS, crowned, with right hand raised and with left hand holding scepter, seated on throne of the canopy type beside possibly wife, Herodias, wearing wimpled headdress, with right hand raised.
