Der Renner: Scene, Boethius -- Boethius, wearing cap and robe, sits at lecterun and turns pages of open book with pseudo-inscription. Before him is bookcase with two shelves and six books, including four with two clasps, with titles on covers inscribed LOIRA, ORTHOGRAVIA, ASTROMIA, and RETHORICA; and two on lower shelf inscribed MUSICA and ARITHMETRICA.
