Apocalypse: John, Letter to Ephesus -- Christ, rays as crossed nimbus, extends left hand and looks toward Evangelist John, nimbed, seated, right hand resting on open book on his lap, raising left hand. He looks back over right shoulder toward Christ. At right, bishop, representing church at Ephesus, wearing miter with infulae, cope with morse, extending right hand toward John and holding crozier with left hand.
Scene on island, with hills in background, across water. Birds flying across sky, perching in tree, some possibly magpies.
Margins decorated with border of floreate rinceaux.
