Virgin Mary: Annunciation -- Dove of Holy Ghost descends in rays issuing from arched window toward Virgin Mary, scalloped nimbus, wearing fillet, with arms crossed on breast, kneeling before prie-dieu on which is open book with pseudo-inscriptions, her head turned back toward Archangel Gabriel, wearing fillet, raising right forefinger and with left hand holding scepter. In foreground, vase with three lilies. Scene in room with tiled floor and decorated drapery in background. Borders decorated with gold scrolling foliate and floreate ornament against blue background. Miniature for Matins beginning the Hours of the Virgin.
