David: communicating with God -- David, nimbed and crowned, playing harp, looking up toward head of God, nimbed, in sky. On ground behind David, is back view of portative organ (?).
Margins decorated with border of floreate ornament of strawberry and inhabited by butterflies and birds including goldfinch, and bird perching on scroll in lower margin. In upper margin, scroll inscribed with first word of motto POUR [SON UOULOIR]. Fragments of the motto POUR SON UOULOIR scattered throughout decoration of border.
