Christ: Ascension -- Virgin Mary, veiled, pearled nimbus, orant, is flanked by twelve nimbed apostles, looking up, two holding books, including Peter, all behind mount. Above, lower half-figure of Christ disappears in arc of heaven flanked by two nimbed angels appearing amid clouds. Each holds scroll, both inscribed VIRI GALILEI (right) QUID ASPICIEN(TES) (left) from Acts 1:11.
