Boethius, holding hat in hands, stands beside Personification of Philosophy, veiled, grasping his left arm. With her right hand, she indicates God, seated, wearing triple-crowned tiara, raising right hand in blessing and holding globe in left hand. He appears amid rays of light surrounded by half-figures (wingless angels?).
Figures within landscape with castle and church surrounded by wattled fence.
Foliate border frames text and miniature. Arms of Bissari family (argent two fess gules two orvets affronted in pale verd) hang from tree in lower border.
