In roundel at top of initial I decorated with interlace, scribe holds inkpot in left hand and writes on tablet or scroll with quill.
Below, in roundel at base of initial I, Cyrus the Great, crowned, half-figure, raises right hand and holds object, possibly globe, in his left hand. He is flanked by heads of three male figures.
