Shepherds: Annunciation -- Half figure of angel, nimbed, holding in both hands scroll inscribed GLORIA IN EXCELCIS DEO, appears in sky above three shepherds and shepherdess. The shepherdess, wearing kerchief and apron, with left hand raised, sits on ground with sheep forelegs in her lap. Two shepherds wear hats, one standing with left hand raised, holding staff in right hand, and one seated on ground playing bagpipe held in both hands. The third shepherd, hooded, stands with staff in left hand and with right hand raised. Around the shepherds are flock of sheep and dog, laying down. Scene in landscape with trees, and city across river.
Margins with foliate ornament arranged in triangular framework, inhabited in lower margin by monkey, seated and playing bagpipe. Baguette with scroll and foliate ornament around sides and bottom of miniature and textblock.
