Miniature:
Gregory the Great: Scene, celebrating Mass -- At right, Gregory the Great, wearing triple-crowned tiara with infulae and vestments, kneels with joined hands raised before altar, on which are open book with pseudo-inscriptions, chalice, wafer (host), and candle in candlestick. Behind the altar, angel lifts nimbed Christ, wearing crown of thorns, showing wounds, in loin cloth, from sarcophagus. They are accompanied by instruments of passion, including cords, column, three nails, cross with titulus inscribed INRI, sponge on reed, spear, and and scourges. On floor beside the altar and sarcophagus are coins and unidentified object.

Foliate border, with boar's head in lower margin.
