Catherine of Alexandria, with scalloped nimbus, crowned, with left hand on sword, stands on wheel and on Maxentius, crowned, holding shield (?).
Beside her is Margaret of Antioch, nimbed, wearing fillet, with joined hands raised, emerging from back of dragon, with hem of her mantle hanging from its mouth. Above is arc of heaven. Gold scroll background. Quatrefoils at corners of miniature.
Margins with ivy-rinceaux floreate ornament.
