Christ, rays as crossed nimbus, raising right hand in gesture of blessing, holds with left hand, open book, facing out, with largely illegible inscription beginning EGO. He stands on grassy ground amid plants, flanked by two rocky outcrops, with background of gold scroll work.
Blue heads appear above arch inside frame of miniature.
Margins decorated with border of gold rinceaux inhabited by hybrid bird, fantastic animal and winged dragon. Gold geometric ornament at each corner of miniature.
Beginning of prayer to Christ.
