Christ: Deposition -- Joseph of Arimathea, with arms draped, supports body of Christ, cross-nimbed, in loin cloth, with both arms detached fron tau cross, surmounted by titulus inscribed INRI. Cross is flanked by Evangelist John, nimbed, behind Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, raising her right hand toward His right hand, and by man, wearing hat, extending cloth. Bone from skeleton on ground.
