1) Benedict of Montecassino: Scene, Dining with Priest -- Behind draped table spread with loaves, two knives, and two vessels of food (banquet scene), tonsured priest with right hand points to the food and places left hand on Benedict, nimbed, tonsured, in monk's habit, with joined hands raised (gesture of thanks); both are seated. Kettle and jug beside one of two flanking trees, one an oak tree.

2) Benedict of Montecassino: Scene, Neighbors bringing Food -- Veiled woman holding loaf and four of five men stand; the foremost man, wearing cap, extends basket of food, and a fifth man, kneeling, extends loaf toward Benedict, nimbed, tonsured, in monk's habit, raising right hand, in mouth of cave. Goat nibbles one of three trees, and one of two sheep grazes.
