Anthony Abbot the Great -- Anthony Abbot the Great, nimbed, wearing monk's habit and black cape of the Hospitallers with blue tau cross on left shoulder, holding crutch or staff in right hand and open book in draped left hand, stands on flames (fire). Beside him sits pig, wearing bell on collar around its neck. Figure in landscape with hills and trees, and in background is monastery (?), with bell hanging in gable of roof. Rays emanate from center of arch at top of miniature.
Margins with foliate and ivy-rinceaux ornament.
