P³•lerinage: Scene, Pilgrim overcome by Vices -- Pilgrim (Guillaume de Deguileville), wearing monk's habit and hood, lays on ground holding staff. Around him are four personifications of vices, all wearing wimpled veils, including Pride, holding down the Pilgrim with her horn and holding club in right hand; Treachery, holding box in left hand and dagger in raised right hand; Envy, with spears extending from her eyes to the Pilgrim; and Slander, biting abdomen of the Pilgrim.
